GS FL™ Light Quality
Typically, on a lighting system with new or almost new lamps, applying the GS FL™ allows maintaining excellent visible light quality for savings in the range of 20% up to 25%.
Greater saving levels may become visibly perceivable. However, under all circumstances, no abrupt, step-like, dimming effect occurs (e.g. from bright to dim during the power reduction process).
Since the area’s light quality requirements will dictate what are the optimal energy saving levels for the application, it is important to keep in mind that many factors influence the perception of light quality, such as (but not limited to) the age of the lamps, the type of lamps, the type and cleanness of reflectors utilized in the light fixtures, as well as environmental conditions and external illumination factors.
Therefore, adjusting the GS FL™ setting allows optimizing the operation of the lighting system until the desired light quality and energy savings are achieved for maximum performance.
In case of strict light quality requirements, excellent energy saving results can be achieved when combining the use of the GS FL™ with selected lamps, ballast and setting the GS FL™ energy saving levels appropriately.
